The Wildflower Meadow

About Us

The Wildflower Place v2

Welcome to
The Wildflower Meadow

We are a native nursery lovingly rooted in our community since the early 2000s.

Originally known as The Wildflower Place, our story began with three inspiring women, Nola, Bronwyn, and Maureen, whose passion for native plants created a sanctuary for nature lovers. Glenda later joined the journey, and together they cultivated more than just a nursery; they built a place where friendships blossomed, laughter echoed, and the beauty of the bush was celebrated.

A New Chapter

In January 2023, the torch was passed to Renee and David Hanna, long-time customers whose hearts were deeply entwined with the nursery’s mission. Faced with the news of its closure, they stepped in without hesitation, driven by a love of native plants, a sense of community spirit, and a desire to preserve this special haven.

With backgrounds in human resources and IT, they embraced the challenge of running the nursery, learning the necessary skills with the generous support of the founding team. Thankfully, they continue to share their knowledge and passion for native plants with us.

Commitment to Quality

Our growing team includes Ella, a talented horticulturist with extensive knowledge of native plants and a deep understanding of their health and suitability for our area. Ella completed her apprenticeship at the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens, providing her with a strong foundation in horticulture.

You will also see Rhys around watering in the mornings and offering his vast knowledge of native flora. Together, we’re breathing new life into The Wildflower Meadow, transforming it into a vibrant hub where nature connects us all.

Fostering Connections with Nature

We believe that nurturing a connection with nature is essential for both our well-being and the health of our planet. Our team is here to guide and support you every step of the way, helping you find the perfect native plants to enhance your space and contribute to the preservation of our precious ecosystem.

Thank you for joining us on this journey. With your support, we are growing a legacy that will thrive for generations to come.
